What inspired you to become an English pageant coach?
Before participating in a domestic beauty competition in 2022, I struggled with deep insecurities about my appearance and lacked confidence in myself. This lack of self-assurance affected multiple aspects of my life, including my efforts in finding a marriage partner, which were going nowhere, and my dreams of leaving my corporate job to start my own business. Despite wanting to take action, I simply couldn’t find the courage to move forward. However, my turning point came when I attended a beauty camp. There, I was surrounded by remarkable women from all walks of life, spanning various age groups, all confidently embracing their true selves regardless of age. Witnessing their authentic and empowered ways of living inspired me profoundly. On the day of the competition, as I stood on stage, I felt a powerful realization: I have changed. At that moment, I became convinced that I was now capable of achieving anything—I could get married, and I could start my own business. This epiphany marked the beginning of a transformative journey, and through that experience, I indeed found both marriage and entrepreneurship within my grasp.
As I was trying to figure out how to take advantage of my previous pageantry experience,I observed that many Japanese representatives faced significant challenges with their English preparation for the world stage. This realization motivated me to support them in honing their English speech skills and overall language proficiency required for world competitions. That same year, I went to see the MISS INTERNATIONAL pageant held in Tokyo, Japan. While cheering in the audience, I overheard a disheartening comment: «Japan won’t win because Japanese can’t speak English.» This remark deeply impacted me, and it was at that moment I felt compelled to take action. Determined to change this perception, I decided to establish my own business as an English pageant coach, dedicated to empowering Japanese representatives on the world stage.
During the period leading up to my resignation from my corporate job, I was prohibited from engaging in any side work due to company policy. However, I found a way to channel my passion by offering free English speech support to fellow contestants who were advancing from the national competition to the world stage. Surprisingly, every single one of them accepted my offer. In Japan, while there are walking coaches specialized in pageant training, there are almost no English speech coaches dedicated to preparing contestants for world competitions. This realization sparked within me a strong desire to become the first expert in this field, someone who could fill that gap.
As I delved deeper into coaching, I quickly realized that the key to creating impactful pageant speeches lies in the trust and bond established between the coach and the contestant. Without that connection, it becomes difficult to draw out the contestant’s true feelings and incorporate the message they genuinely want to convey into their speech. To build that trust, I provided daily online support to my students while still working as a full-time employee, and we held weekly lessons at a steady pace. This experience, of working side by side with individuals preparing for the world stage, gave me invaluable insight into the unique struggles faced by international contestants—challenges they rarely reveal on social media platforms like Instagram.
Through these experiences, I realized that my role extended far beyond merely teaching English speech. It became about walking alongside my students through every phase of their journey, right up until the final day of the world competition. This close, collaborative process forms the foundation of the business model I have since created. I have developed a system where I don’t just teach English but serve as a long-term partner who helps contestants confront their inner conflicts, build their confidence, and bring out their most authentic selves in front of a global audience.
This journey, from working with my students in the early stages to helping them shine on the world stage, has solidified my belief in the importance of not only mastering language but also of understanding the contestant’s personal narrative and emotional journey. It is through this comprehensive support system that I aim to build a unique service that empowers individuals to represent themselves and their countries with pride and authenticity, in both speech and presence.
What is the concept of your service?
The core concept of my service is to offer “English Pageant Speech Strategies for Beginners,” providing both comfort and confidence to help participants shine on the world stage. The reality is that 95% of my students are beginners, many of whom feel overwhelmed and anxious about delivering an English speech and surviving the pageant week, where English is the common language.
I prioritize building strong relationships with my students, taking the time to understand their backgrounds and the messages they want to convey but may struggle to articulate. I believe that creating an outstanding speech begins with understanding the students’ true desires and helping them express their thoughts from the heart. Simply using pageant-related vocabulary is ineffective if it doesn’t reflect what my student truly wishes to deliver.
Moreover, a deep understanding of the pageant’s concept and analyzing previous world competitions are crucial . My students often find it challenging to gather and comprehend this information, so I see it as my mission to actively research, translate, and share relevant details and strategies with them.
Once a student finalizes their speech in Japanese, I work closely with them to translate it into English, ensuring that their thoughts and passions are accurately conveyed in a style suitable for pageants. Together, we go through each word to perfect pronunciation, and then move on to sentences to practice intonation and emphasis. This step-by-step method not only gives students a sense of accomplishment but also ensures they acquire the proper techniques for delivering their speech effectively.
In addition to English lessons and speech preparation, I offer comprehensive support to each student, providing essential information related to the pageant and offering mental encouragement to help them perform at their best. During pageant week, I make myself available to students at all times, offering not only English language support but also advice on pageants and a safe space for any personal concerns they may have—especially those they can’t share with others or on social media. My top priority is assisting students who are competing in global pageants, and I am committed to supporting them no matter where I am, whether at the supermarket or on a bus. To stay prepared, I always carry my smartphone, a notebook, and a pen during this busy week. In fact, I go through an entire ballpoint pen’s ink in just one pageant week!
What makes your course special?
What makes my course special is its unique focus on preparing Japanese contestants for world beauty pageants, offering highly specialized English speech training tailored specifically to pageantry. As a coach who has trained 24 contestants competing in world pageants in 2024 alone, I am proud to be Japan’s leading provider of English language support for international pageant participants. My experience includes serving as a beauty camp coach for two major Mrs. pageants, in addition, I also supported contestants not only with English speech but also with broader communication and presentation skills.
One of the standout features of my program is the Platinum Course, which offers twice-weekly group lessons in conversational English specifically designed for world competitions. This course has received rave reviews from participants, who frequently report that the phrases they learned proved invaluable during the competition. Many felt more confident communicating with other contestants and engaging in conversations with ease.
The Platinum Course also fosters a close-knit community where participants can learn English specialized in world competitions while supporting each other across various world competitions. This supportive environment allows contestants to vote for and cheer on their fellow queens, and after returning from their world competitions, they have the opportunity to share their experiences with others, either in person or online. This creates a platform not only for language learning but also for preparation and motivation, making it an invaluable resource for those aiming to succeed on the world stage.
Additionally, my course goes beyond just English training. I provide strategic advice on social media management, helping contestants present themselves as queens even before the competition begins. From crafting a winning online presence to developing a strategy for promotion, I guide participants through every step of the process. Moreover, my support extends until the end of the competition, offering total guidance in terms of pageant preparation, mental support, and post-competition feedback.
As a believer in hands-on support, I travel across Japan from Tokyo to Osaka, personally meeting students for face-to-face lessons. By being present at the domestic pageants they compete in, I can offer both moral support and critical insights, which I use to further refine my instruction for future students. In 2024, I am also planning to attend key world competitions, including Miss Grand International and Miss International, providing firsthand reports and insights for my students to learn from.
My dedication to researching pageant-specific English is second to none. I analyze speeches from previous years’ world pageants and break down the unique expressions, self-branding techniques, and other linguistic nuances essential for success. Through this, my students not only learn the English language but also the strategic communication skills needed to stand out on the world stage.
What is your experience as a translator for Mrs. Japan Classique at Mrs. Classique Globe 2024?
My Unforgettable Experience Accompanying Mrs. Japan Classique at the Classique GlobeA
ccompanying Japan’s representative to the Mrs. Classique Globe world competition was an experience that left a profound and lasting impression on me, not only as an English pageant coach but as someone who has now become deeply connected to the Mrs. Globe organization and its values. As someone who has supported Japanese contestants in over 20 world competitions, the level of care, professionalism, and sense of community at Mrs. Globe stood out to me as something truly exceptional.
One of the most meaningful aspects of this experience was participating in the weekly «Monday Memo» Zoom meetings. Each week, I attended as an interpreter, translating important updates and advice for our Japanese representative. The Mrs. Globe organization provided detailed guidance, not just about the necessary logistics, but also valuable advice such as how to engage with supporters and ask for votes. This level of support was something I had never encountered in any other pageant. The commitment from Mrs. Globe to ensure that contestants are fully informed, prepared, and supported is unparalleled. Moreover, the weekly meetings allowed contestants from all over the world to connect with each other long before the competition began. This sense of global community, fostered so naturally by Mrs. Globe, is a testament to the organization’s dedication to building relationships among its participants.
Dr. Tracy Kemble’s mindset and philosophy also left deep impacts on me. She shared inspiring messages, encouraging us to view the competition not just as a competition but as a life-changing experience. Her words helped reshape the way we think about pageants, emphasizing personal growth and transformation. What resonated most with me was seeing herself in action. During the preliminary and grand finale, she was in the audience, clapping along and raising the energy in the venue, ensuring that every contestant felt supported and uplifted. It was during these moments that I realized that I didn’t just want to compete in a world pageant in the future—I wanted to be a part of Mrs. Globe, the one where the president herself is as passionate about the contestants’ success as the contestants are. Dr. Tracy’s heartfelt dedication to Mrs. Globe and its contestants truly ignited my desire to become part of this organization on a deeper level.
The professionalism of the Mrs. Globe staff was also something I admired deeply. Many of the team members are former contestants themselves, their backgrounds allowed them to relate to the contestants on a personal level, and they handled every situation with empathy and understanding. The staff worked incredibly hard and with great dedication to ensure that the competition ran smoothly, while always making the contestants feel valued and supported. It was clear that every member of the team took pride in their role, and there was a shared goal of creating a truly unforgettable experience for everyone involved.
The social events, like the pink pajama party, were another aspect of the competition that set Mrs. Globe apart. These events allowed contestants and staff to come together beyond the formality of the competition. Seeing everyone dance, sing, and simply enjoy the moment without the boundaries of titles or positions was incredibly moving. Mrs. Globe fosters an environment where everyone is part of the same family, and these joyful gatherings reminded me of the genuine camaraderie and lifelong bonds that are formed through these experiences.
While pageants inevitably result in rankings, I realized through Mrs. Globe that the true value of these competitions lies beyond the final score. Mrs. Globe is about changing lives, creating lasting memories, and building a global community of empowered women. As I look ahead to competing in the Mrs. Globe 2025, as Mrs. Japan Globe, I am filled with immense gratitude and pride. I am honored to become part of the Globe family, and I am committed to carrying forward the values and lessons that have made Mrs. Globe such a life-changing experience for so many.
In my heart, the Mrs.Globe beauty pageant is more than a competition—it is a celebration of personal transformation, global unity, and lifelong sisterhood. And I feel privileged to take my place in this incredible journey.
What is your goal?
As I compete in the prestigious Mrs. Globe 2025, as Mrs. Japan Globe, I have two key visions that I aim to realize.
- Be a Key Contributor to the Development of Globe Japan
My journey with the prestigious Mrs. Globe began when I was asked by Mrs. Kazue Oshima, the newly appointed National Director of Japan, to provide English speech lessons to prepare for the Mrs. Globe 2024. She has passionately founded Globe Japan as she declared in her speech during the pageant, and I am honored to contribute to her mission.
In 2024, I had the privilege of accompanying Mrs. Japan Classique Globe as her interpreter at Classique Globe. Throughout the pageant week, I witnessed firsthand the grandeur of the world competition and experienced the remarkable strength of the Globe family’s unique and close-knit network. Although I have had the opportunity to coach Japanese reprsentatives in English speeches for over 20 world competitions, I found the Globe organization to be truly exceptional and unlike any other.
I am truly grateful for the opportunity to represent Japan in the 2025 Mrs. Globe and to be part of the Globe family. I am steadily preparing for the world competition with the support of professionals in various fields, including walking coaches, hair and makeup artists, and dress stylists. I am also deeply honored to see one of my own students, who has taken my English speech lessons, competing alongside me as a fellow Japanese representative. I cherish the unique bond we have formed as we prepare together, not just as teacher and student, but as fellow queens in this incredible journey.
Beyond the competition itself, I am committed to maintaining and deepening my connection with the Globe family worldwide. I also aim to actively contribute as a Brand Ambassador for Globe Japan, promoting its values and vision on a global scale. It is with great pride that I dedicate myself to the further growth and success of Globe Japan, reflecting my skills and experiences to their fullest potential.
- Empowering Japan’s Representatives to Shine with Comfort and Confidence on the World Stage as a Dedicated No.1 English Pageant Coach in Japan
When I first participated in a beauty pageant, it was entirely for myself. At that time, I struggled with deep insecurities about my appearance, and my self-esteem was at an all-time low. I had been suffering a challenging nine-year journey to find a marriage partner, and despite my dreams , I couldn’t find the courage to start my own business. Yet, through the pageantry experience, everything has completeley changed. I achieved not only my dream of getting married but also found the strength to launch my business. That pageantry experience allowed me to fulfill my dreams and more importantly, brought me the happiness I had been searching for.
However, my participation in the 2025 Mrs. Globe as Mrs. Japan Globe is totally different from my previous pageantry experience. This time, my journey is no longer just for myself; it is about fulfilling my duty and responsibility as a Mrs. Japan Globe, while also contributing to others. As Japan’s leading English pageant speech coach, I am dedicated to sharing all the invaluable experiences I gain from competing on the world stage to support current students as well as future contestants.
Currently, I am the only coach in Japan offering English conversation lessons specifically tailored to world competitions. After competing in the upcoming Mrs. Globe, I plan to enhance my lessons by incorporating practical phrases used during the pageant week, along with essential information that contestants should know. I am eager to share my experiences not only with my students but with all of Japan’s future representatives. I will strengthen my presence on social media to raise awareness of these specialized lessons and create opportunities such as special sessions, where I can share my learnings from the world competition.
In addition, I intend to expand my current offerings. At present, my lessons are available only to my students, but I aim to make them accessible to a broader audience. I am eager to release video content and phrasebooks that specifically focus on the key phrases and expressions needed for world competitions. By doing so, I hope to provide more Japanese representatives with the tools they need to thrive in these competitions.Participating in a world competition is far more enjoyable and fulfilling when they are confident in theirEnglish abilities, and this confidence also plays a crucial role in performance. I am committed to ensuring that none of Japan’s contestants feel held back by language barriers or experience the frustration of not being able to fully enjoy the competition.
Finally, I am the one who can speak to those who believe that beauty pageants have nothing to do with them. Your life can truly change through participation, just as mine did. Nine years of a challenging journey to find a marriage partner, plagued by insecurities about my appearance, and working a job I didn’t enjoy while suppressing my entrepreneurial dreams—this was my life before I stepped onto the pageantry stage. Today, I stand as a proud competitor on the world stage. I am living proof that beauty pageants can transform your life in the most unexpected and profound ways.
Through my journey, I hope to inspire others, especially those who might feel the same doubt or fear I once did, to step into this empowering world. I aim to continue supporting Japan’s representatives, enabling them to approach world competitions with the comfort, confidence, knowledge, and language skills they need to make the most of this life-changing experience.
“The Power of a Vision: Only a Decided Future Can Be Realized”
One thing I know for sure is that having a clear vision shapes our actions, guiding us toward the future we desire.
When I competed in my first pageant, my vision was simple yet profound: to transform my life and find happiness. At that time, as a corporate employee with low self-esteem, I discovered that competing offered a powerful shift in perspective. I dreamed of a new reality where I could become an entrepreneur, fulfill my ambitions, and create a happier life. This vision clarified each step needed to turn my dream into reality, and with it, I never hesitated or looked back.
The transformative power of vision not only impacts us personally but also moves others. Our journey can inspire those around us to take bold steps, whether it’s competing in pageants or finally pursuing challenges they’ve always dreamed about.
No journey is without its challenges, but a strong vision keeps us moving forward. With each obstacle, let’s focus on “How can we make this happen?” Adjusting course is part of the journey, but with a clear vision, moving forward is always achievable.
Whether in the world of pageants or in life, I believe that vision is what motivates us to move forward. It guides us to take action, inspires those around us, and proves that the future can only become real when it is clearly envisioned.
