The Power Duo Shaping Miss & Mr World Malta since 1987
ABOUT US
We’ve known each other for so long now that calling ourselves partners doesn’t quite capture the bond we share—we’re more like family. Over the years, we’ve faced both challenges and triumphs together, always supporting one another through it all. Claudia often shares how she felt an instant connection with Sue the very first time they met, back when Claudia took her modelling course. That connection grew stronger as we started working closely together, and today, it’s incredible to see how far our journey has brought us. From humble beginnings to being leaders in our field, our partnership has been built on shared values and mutual respect.
Sue’s depth of experience in this industry is something Claudia deeply admires, and we both recognize the unique strengths each of us brings to the table.
Sue’s visionary approach and calm demeanour perfectly complement Claudia’s innovative ideas and vibrant energy. This balance allows us to not only dream big but to execute those dreams with precision. Our contrasting styles work in harmony, creating a dynamic that drives the success of every event we organize.
When it comes to organizing events, we’ve found our rhythm—clearly defining our roles and ensuring that we collaborate seamlessly. Every decision is discussed together, valuing each other’s input, which has become the cornerstone of our teamwork.
Our foundation is built on trust and respect, and jealousy has no place in our partnership; instead, it’s all about genuine encouragement and shared victories.
As an entrepreneur and public figure in Malta, how do you manage to balance your business ventures with the demands of organizing large-scale events like Miss and Mr. World Malta?
Time teaches strength and growth. Meeting people remains a challenge I welcome, as I enjoy encountering new faces and forming connections. Scouting participants for Miss & Mr World Malta demands patience and discipline, especially when seeking individuals with a strong educational background. This pageant is more than just a beauty contest; it’s an opportunity to communicate and connect with others. Relating with new clients as event partners is another important aspect, where trust and confidence play a pivotal role in the success of the activity. Constant support and careful handling are key elements. Despite my busy schedule, I cherish quality time with my family. Traveling with my husband is a joy, and wherever he suggests, I’m always ready to go.
As a fashion event organizer and presenter, how do you infuse creativity and professionalism into events while staying aligned with your personal and professional vision?
Creativity drives every event I work on. Each show is crafted to feel unique, ensuring no two productions are the same. Understanding audience preferences is key, so we dedicate time to brainstorming and perfecting every detail. I believe events should be dynamic and engaging, avoiding anything that feels drawn out.
Inspiration often strikes unexpectedly—at concerts or other productions, where the smallest details can ignite new ideas. Being in this field is a constant process of learning and growth.
On TV, I focus on being authentic. I don’t chase trends but stay true to my beliefs, knowing that honesty and consistency build trust and professionalism with my audience.
We truly believe that this is how women should approach one another: lifting each other up, celebrating successes, and fostering a spirit of sisterhood.
Women empowering women can move mountains, and together, we’ve shown that teamwork rooted in respect and shared purpose can achieve amazing things. It’s not just about business; it’s about creating a legacy of empowerment and collaboration.
What advice would you give to women looking to step into entrepreneurial roles while maintaining their authenticity and staying connected to their purpose?
Focus is key to progress. Stepping into any field comes with challenges, but every challenge is an opportunity. Life moves quickly, and rare chances to grow shouldn’t be overlooked. My work is fulfilling, and the connections I build remind me of community’s value. Women carry undeniable strength, and through our achievements, we inspire others to dream and achieve.
How do you see your role as a producer and public figure contributing to the empowerment of women in fashion and entertainment, both in Malta and beyond?
As a public figure, I strive to inspire women to embrace their strength, prioritize well-being, and find joy in self-discovery. For me, running teaches persistence, discipline, and the value of stepping outside comfort zones. True beauty is deeply rooted in character and confidence, reminding women their worth comes from within and that a positive outlook can inspire both themselves and those around them.
