What inspired you to start Anwar Beauty Lounge, and what has been your journey so far?
Since I was young, my dream was to have a beauty center that bears my name. I started with one year of professional makeup training in Paris at the renowned Makeup For Ever school. Then, I took various masterclasses in France, Dubai, Germany, and Morocco to gain more experience. I also completed a one-year training in cosmetics to practice facial care and gain more information on the anatomy of the skin.
As a professional makeup artist, how do you stay up to date with the latest trends and techniques in the beauty industry?
Makeup is everything to me. I love doing makeup, and to stay up to date with the latest trends, I attend international masterclasses and continually learn new techniques and looks in the beauty industry.
Your expertise in makeup and skincare is recognized. Could you share some tips or secrets for maintaining healthy skin?
Yes, my expertise is recognized by several experts. I always want my clients to see a difference in their skin after treatment and follow the advice I give them for their routine and the products they should use at home. All the products I recommend to my clients are ones I have tested myself for a long time. I have over five years of experience in this field.
How do you approach makeup application to enhance natural beauty while respecting individual client preferences?
It is very important to know what the client likes and how they want their makeup. The application of makeup depends on each client and each product we use. Makeup does not make women beautiful; rather, it enhances their natural beauty and look.
What do you like most about teaching at Alternabeauty Düsseldorf?
What I like most about teaching at Alternabeauty Düsseldorf, or the private seminars I conduct at my beauty center, is being able to pass on my knowledge to others who will become professional makeup artists one day. Being a key to their success and seeing my students become known and recognized on social networks, and even open their own beauty centers, is incredibly rewarding.
What sets Anwar Beauty Lounge apart from other beauty establishments, and how do you ensure your customers have the best experience?
Anwar Beauty Lounge stands out because it is a beauty center where there is no difference between women and men. At our center, even men can receive facial treatments with the modern and well-known Hydrafacial machine. Additionally, I have the latest version of bodyforming, a machine that can reduce fat for both men and women without pain in just five sessions. We also have the G8 machine, which can define muscles and reduce body water. Many well-known people and TV stars in Germany come to my beauty center and have greatly appreciated my support on social networks after their satisfaction with the treatments.
Could you share a memorable moment or experience from your career that had a significant impact on you as a makeup artist and beauty expert?
A memorable experience that had a significant impact on me was my admission to Paris Fashion Week and the invitation from various big luxury brands to do makeup for their models in Paris.
Another was working with the biggest German TV network, which contacted me to work with them as a professional makeup artist. Additionally, obtaining my license to become a professional makeup teacher was a pivotal moment. My dreams are endless, and I still have much to do and accomplish.
What are some of the latest trends and highlights you noticed at the recent Paris Fashion Week, and how do they influence your work at Anwar Beauty Lounge?
At Paris Fashion Week, I faced many challenges. We had a maximum of 15 minutes to do the makeup on each model, and each makeup artist had between 6 and 10 models to complete within 3 hours. It was different because the models were men and women of various skin colors. However, it was an honor to attend Paris Fashion Week with major brands and experts in the field of styling, and of course, work with international models. The experience has inspired me to bring the latest trends and techniques I observed back to Anwar Beauty Lounge, ensuring our clients receive cutting-edge looks and styles.
Can you describe the unique atmosphere and energy of Paris Fashion Week, and how does participating in such a prestigious event shape your approach to makeup artistry?
It was a magnificent week with many other well-known makeup artists from around the world, and I was the only one representing Germany. I met many designers from the United States and various other countries. It’s true that it’s quite stressful backstage with at least 100 different models, numerous journalists, and other makeup artists and hairstylists. However, I was able to make many contacts and collaborations. It’s a wonderful feeling to see your name credited under the photos of the models you’ve done makeup for in different magazines.
I also had the honor of working with Mrs. Germany and accompanying her to the competition in Greece, organized by Mrs. Globe. It was a great experience to meet the famous Dr. Tracy, a very beautiful and elegant woman. We worked very hard, and the competition was tough because all the contestants from different countries were beautiful. However, we returned with the title «Leader of the Year» for Mrs. Germany. Upon returning to Germany, we were welcomed at the airport by many people and journalists who wanted to congratulate us on our success.
What I understood in life with experience:
I learned well in life that you have to sacrifice everything to achieve your dreams and never wait for support or help from someone else, and above all never compare yourself to other people, be yourself and do what you want. what to do and make your dreams come true
My secret:
A lot of people on social media think I’m arrogant and strict and the truth is no I’m not arrogant at all I’m just professional and I’ve learned to differentiate between my private life and my professional life on social media.
The complications I encountered:
It was not easy at the beginning to enter the world of beauty and make my place in a country that is not mine, I fell several times but I got up and started again from the beginning until I succeeded and achieved what I wanted and today I have my place in Germany as a state-certified makeup artist and have the right to share my knowledge with other future makeup artists
